Planning your walk

Section 1 (15.5 miles/25km). St Dogmaels to Newport Town is the most challenging section of

Section 2 (12 miles/19.3km). The cliffs on this section are lower, mostly at around 40m.

Section 3 (9 miles/14.5 km). Mostly 30 to 70m high cliffs of volcanic origin.

Section 4 (12 miles/19.3km). There are plenty of dramatic sheer cliffs on this section.

Section 5 (10 miles/16.1km). An exhilarating and in places, rugged section of path.

Section 6 (13 miles/20.9km). This section is close to the accommodation, shops and facilities.

Section 7 (12 miles/19.3km). Northwest of Newgale there are a series of very steep hills.

Section 8 (11 miles/17.7km). Strikingly red low cliffs. Rich in wildflowers. No stiles.

Section 9 (10 miles/16.1km). The many access points and excellent coastal bus service makes this

Section 10 (16 Miles/25.75km). Two tidal crossings (detours via road). No stiles.

Section 11 (16 Miles/25.75km). Rich in history, environmental and agricultural interest.

Section 12 (10 miles/16.1km). This section is very rugged, remote and challenging. Few stiles.

Section 13 (10 miles/16.1km). Probably the flattest section of the trail. Restricted due to military

Section 14 (11 miles/17.7km). The Path is quite undulating, but you're never far from a
