Public Consultation begins on National Park Local Development Plan 2 Review Report and Annual Monitoring Report 2023-2024

What is the Local Development Plan?

Local Development Plan 2 was adopted by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority in September 2020. The LDP sets out the authority’s proposals for future development and use of land in the National Park. All planning decisions are required to be made in accordance with the adopted LDP, so it provides a measure of certainty of what development will and will not be permitted.

Why is it being reviewed?

We are legally obliged to review the Local Development Plan at least every four years from the date of adoption.  We need to check whether the policies are performing well, and whether they are still fit for purpose given the new pressures, challenges and changes in government policy or legislation. The Review Report sets out the findings of the review and concludes whether the Authority will undertake a partial or full revision of the adopted Local Development Plan 2.

Consultation Period

The consultation is taking place from 10 January 2025 until 21 February 2025. Comments submitted after 5pm on 21 February 2025 may not be considered.
