Experience the flavours of autumn at Carew Castle’s Apple pressing events
Carew Castle’s popular apple pressing extravaganza will return over coming weeks, providing members of the public with an opportunity to turn their surplus apples into tasty juice.
The apple pressing events will take place at the Pembrokeshire Coast Authority-run attraction on Saturday 23 September and Saturday 7 October between 10am and 2pm.
On both dates, Ranger Chris Taylor will be stationed in the grounds of the picturesque Castle with an apple press, ready to help visitors get the most from their apple harvests.
Daisy Hughes, Visitor Services Manager at Carew Castle, said:
“This is the time of year when apples are at their best, but many find themselves with more than they know what to do with. Our apple pressing events provide the perfect solution to this, as well as offering a day of enjoyment for all ages.”
“Unless you’re planning on exploring the Castle, which is always well worth a visit, there is no admission fee. The only requirement for those attending is that they bring along some apples and a container for their juice, and are prepared to have a go.”
